MINISTRIES
Deacons Ministry The Deacons Ministry supports the pastor in providing leadership to the church and is committed to serving the members of the church and community. Our Deacons lead our Care Teams who maintain connection with the church family to encourage and provide support as needed. They administer the church’s Benevolence Fund as they respond for requests for assistance received by the church. They are ordained men of God who perform the following acts of service: preparation of the sanctuary for the Lord’s Table for Holy Communion, assist the Pastor with baptisms, serve as counselors for the various ministries in the church, visit the sick and shut-ins of the church, provide assistance to widows and those in need. They maintain order and promote church attendance in all areas of church service.
Mothers Ministry The Mothers Ministry consists of holy women of God who are chosen by the church to serve as spiritual leaders, especially to the female members of the church. They support the Pastor, Deacons and the church congregation and exemplify Christ in performing their duties. They support the ministry in the following ways: preparation of the sanctuary for the Lord’s Table for Holy Communion, assisting baptism candidates and visiting the sick and shut-ins of the church. In addition, they encourage every young woman and girl in the church so that they will be fulfilled, as well as laying the foundation for a ministry that focuses on the will of God and the needs of others.
Trustees Ministry The Trustee Ministry serve as faithful and devoted stewards of the church. They work with all the church ministries to ensure that the fiscal affairs of the church are properly maintained. They also serve as the legal representatives of the church. They ensure that the facilities and the church campus are properly maintained, manage the church inventory and provide assistance in the proper accounting for the church funds received.
Secretaries The church secretaries are responsible for maintaining accurate church records, recording minutes of church quarterly conferences and board meetings, updating church members’ contact information, providing administrative support to the Pastor and church family.
Finance Ministry The Finance Ministry is responsible for compilation of all financial information of the church. Included in this ministry is the preparation of all necessary worksheets and documentation to be used in the preparation of the annual church budget, accounting for all church funds and serving as members of the Audit and Budget Ministry.
Archives Ministry The Archives Ministry is committed to gathering, compiling, documenting and safeguarding the history of the church.
Audit and Budget MinistryThe Audit and Budget Ministry is responsible for drafting the proposed annual church budget and performing audits of the financial records of each church ministry. It is also responsible for monitoring the expenditure of funds allocated to each ministry to ensure that spending is in accordance with the budget established.
Banking Ministry The Banking Ministry is responsible for the deposit and management of church funds allocated to the church savings accounts.
Culinary Ministry The Culinary Ministry serves to minister to the church and community in preparing meals for various occasions. Ministry members set and prepare menus when the church provides meals before or after worship services or other events. They are involved in our community outreach efforts as they prepare meals for those who attend the services in the community. Additionally, they maintain the church kitchen facilities as well as serving the delicious meals that they prepare.
Education Ministry The Education Ministry serves to enhance the academic and life experiences of persons of all ages. The ministry focuses on complementing the efforts of students and families to maximize their potential, achieve their goals, and become academically successful, culturally rich, and spiritually gifted people of God. Ministry members administer the church scholarship program in addition to organizing and overseeing educational activities of the church through godly workshops and programs.
First Aid Ministry The First Aid Ministry consists of dedicated health care professionals and medically trained members who provide temporary, immediate assistance to those who worship at the church who are injured or ill until medical first responders arrive. In addition, ministry members sponsor workshops and provide helpful information on health-related issues that affect the church and community.
Hospitality Ministry The Hospitality Ministry is supported by dedicated ushers, greeters and cart drivers. Our cart drivers extend hospitality by transporting worshippers from the church parking lots to the sanctuary. Our greeters extend warm and welcoming greetings to members and guests who worship at the church. Our ushers serve worshippers when they enter the sanctuary by escorting them to available seats, providing fans, contribution envelopes and assistance in directing the congregation during offerings.
Home Mission The Home Mission Ministry is a group of missionaries dedicated to impacting the lives of those in need by providing services and assistance to the church family and surrounding community Their aim is to share the love of Jesus Christ to the hurting and those who do not know Jesus as their personal savior.
In His Hands Ministry In His Hands Ministry serves the church family and the surrounding community in providing support during times of personal crisis and times of grief. Ministry members offer hope by helping people transition through their pain by comforting them through prayer and bringing a spiritual presence. The ministry conducts periodic workshops on grief and related topics.
Marriage Ministry
The Marriage Ministry serves to enhance the relationships that husbands and wives enjoy. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it is designed to provide the forum and resources for building healthy, Christ-centered marriages and to celebrate the foundational relationship established by God.
Media Ministry The Media Ministry utilizes technology and is inspired by God to assist the church in reaching out to the church and community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Ministry members support the audio, video and external and internal communications for the church. The ministry is responsible for maintaining and the audio and video equipment and recommending upgrades when needed. The ministry includes recording services and making them available to the church and community, maintaining the church website and the broadcasts of the church services over social media. The technology side of the ministry assists the church in maintaining and upgrading the hardware and software used by the church.
Membership Ministry The Membership Ministry guides and assists new members through membership orientation and throughout the membership process. Its mission is to help each member become familiar with the structure and basic principles of the church so that they can serve effectively.
Mighty Men of Mount The Mighty Men of Mount is the men’s ministry that serves to encourage the male members of the church to become the godly men God intended them to be. The Mighty Men seek to adhere to the mission of the church through evangelistic outreach to males in the community in building up the body of Christ. It endeavors to assist the male members of the congregation to grow as disciples of Christ and to spread the love of Christ through fellowship. It strives to strengthen men in their faith and to glorify God through worship.
Pastor’s Stewards Ministry The Pastor’s Stewards Ministry serves to meet the temporal needs and comfort of the pastor and his family. It also responsible for the reception of offerings for the church.
Prison Ministry The Prison Ministry works in coordination with other area congregations in serving to minister to individuals incarcerated at Harnett Correctional Institution. Ministry members attend worship services at the facility and provide several services, including preaching, singing and administering Holy Communion.
Program Ministry The Program Ministry serves to plan and promote godly programs that inspire and uplift the name of Jesus. Ministry members are responsible for planning annual services for the church including Family and Friends Day, pastoral appreciation and Homecoming. In addition, ministry members assist other church ministries when requested in planning for their special events.
Radio Ministry The Radio Ministry provides services to the radio listening audience and seeks to facilitate an understanding of God’s Word and need for salvation. The aim of this ministry is to witness and reach people who might not be reached otherwise. The ministry provides prerecorded messages to the local radio station for its broadcast of the church’s service.
Music Ministry The Music Ministry leads the musical worship experience for the church and is comprised of gifted singers and musicians who are dedicated to uplifting the name of the Lord. Several groups serve in the ministry including the Praise Team, Mass Choir, Male Chorus and Youth Choir.
Singles Ministry The Singles Ministry is a welcoming, nurturing ministry that encourages individual wholeness through a relationship with God. The mission of the ministry is to assist single members in their spiritual and personal growth while sharing God’s gifts through service and celebrating life with others.
Women of Virtue The Women of Virtue serve as the ministry to the women of the church and community in assisting them in their walk with Christ. Its mission includes creating an environment where females can flourish in all areas of their lives, as well as supporting one another with the life challenges that arise.
